HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH SAUSAGE STARS

My mama would make these for every party we had when I was a kid, and they're usually gone within 5 min! They are a slam dunk hit for any party, gathering, or just cause you're craving them. :) We like to make the won ton cups a day or two ahead, and store in a gallon zip lock baggie; all you have to do the day of is fill the cups with the filling, and pop in the oven to re-heat and make the cheese bubble! You can't go wrong with these delights :)

PS- the leftover filling mix is DELICIOUS in egg omelets.

Happy cooking :)

Ingredients:

  • 1lb cooked crumbled sausage meat, casings removed (2 cups cooked)- I like Italian flavored Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 1 1⁄2cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 1⁄2cups monterey jack cheese
  • 1cup hidden valley original ranch salad dressing
  • 1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced black olives
  • 1⁄2 cup chopped sweet red pepper
  • 1 (60 count) package wonton wrappers
  • vegetable oil

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine drained cooked sausage meat with the cheeses, salad dressing, olives and red pepper
  • Lightly oil mini muffin tins and press a wrap in each tine so there are 4 wings sticking out
  • Brush with oil bake 5 minutes until golden, remove wraps from pan, place on a baking sheet
  • Fill wraps with the sausage, cheese mixture
  • Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly& brown.
  • Enjoy

Best Turkey Meatloaf

I was a super picky eater as a kiddo....and although I'm not as brave as most now, I have greatly expanded my repertoire. Meatloaf, though, is still not high on my craving list! With that being said, this turkey meatloaf is AMAZING. Its a simple, easy, comfort food recipe that is an essential your recipe box.

Ingredients:

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped rosemary
  • 1 tsp. chopped thyme leaves
  • 2 lb. ground turkey
  • 3/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions:

Step 1:

  • Preheat oven to 325° and lightly grease a large deep baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In large skillet over medium heat, heat oil.
  • Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper then stir in garlic and herbs.
  • Cook until fragrant, 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Step 2:

  • In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire, egg, and cooked vegetables until combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3:

  • On prepared baking dish, form meat mixture into a loaf. In a small bowl, stir ketchup and brown sugar until combined, then brush over loaf.
  • Bake until internal temperature reaches 160°, about 1 hour 20 minutes.
  • Say a heartfelt prayer to our heavenly Father, serve, and enjoy!
